Lincoln High School- 701 S. 37th St. Tacoma
Built in the Eton School style with Wilkeson Stone, Lincoln Park High School’s cornerstone was laid in 1913 and the school opened in 1914. The name was changed to Lincoln High School in 1920. After a long fundraising effort, a bronze statue of Abraham Lincoln was unveiled in 1918. Many renovations have improved the building and the bowl but the original grace and uniqueness of the school has been preserved. One of the most exciting events to occur in Lincoln Bowl was a performance by Elvis Presley in 1957.
