The Harmon Building,  1944 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, WA- Built 1909

In the early 1900’s, Tacoma, WA produced more furniture and doors than any other city in the US.  Built in 1909, this iconic building was the centerpiece of the F. S. Harmon Furniture Company and is believed to be the tallest post and beam structure on the West Coast. In 1994, the building was purchased by Fred Roberson and renovated into a hub of retail,  office space,  loft-style apartments and a brew-pub. Mr. Roberson is credited with playing a pioneering role in the revival of downtown Tacoma.
